Kazza trudged into the tunnels, ducking under the lower parts of the cave roof as she went along. She was excited to be down here - she felt like an archaeologist on an exciting dig where no one else had excavated before, although many people had, in fact, been digging around here before she had even set sights on the caves. This fact had been delegated to the back of her mind and did little to damper her mood, though.
She was, however, nervous about being under the earth. She was wary of disturbing anything that might cause the whole place to come crashing down on her head.
Kneeling, the teenager began to dig carefully in the dirt, gently scraping dirt away in search of rare treasures and fascinating relics.

After a few minutes of digging, the trainer uncovered a shiny, blue stone. Appraising her find, she held the rock up in the air to examine it for a minute before pocketing it and resuming her scrounging in the dirt, changing location slightly. The stone would probably come in use later, but she planned to keep digging for now.

It wasn't long before the next item was unearthed by the teen - a smooth rock. Kazza supposed it might come in handy further along in her journey, but right now she didn't have any ground types, let alone a Pokemon that could use Sandstorm. Oh well, a find was a find,and she pocketed the rock happily before moving along yet again and resuming her digging.

This time, the teenager unearthed a yellow shard. While not as rare as the previous two items that she had managed to pull from the ground, it would still be useful, she was sure. She had a feeling that move tutors accepted the things anyway, so there was always that. Her bag sure was feeling a tad heavier than it had when she had begun this little expedition of hers, though. Examining the overturned dirt that surrounded her, the trainer decided that this time a slightly larger move might be in order, and she got up and trudged along for a few minutes before stopping at what looked to be a promising location. Stretching for a moment beforehand, Kazza resumed her scrounging in the dirt, excited to see what she might stumble upon this time.

This time, she had unearthed a red sphere. While perhaps not as rare as the other items, or as obviously useful, she had heard that, if she collected enough of them, she could trade them for other, more useful items back at the entrance to the underground. Apparently the hiker who was seemingly always there collected them, or something. Even though she had no idea what she might be able to trade for it, Kazza nevertheless pocketed the sphere dutifully. Taking a brief moment to stretch out tense shoulders and legs, she knelt back down on the ground and resumed her digging, by now simply repeating familiar motions in the hope of stumbling across something more immediately, obviously, useful. Or another sphere or such - anything would be fine, really. She was mostly digging for the thrill of uncovering buried objects, rather than with a specific aim or purpose in mind.

She'd been at it for a while when another ed sphere popped out of the ground. Blinking, she examined it, and smiled. She was getting a bit of a collection of the things now, it seemed. Surely she'd have enough of the things to find some use for them soon. This time, she didn't move, hoping to find another simply so she could find out what they could be traded for.

A Tiny Mushroom was next to be found. While not what she had been looking for, Kazza knew that she could sell these for a decent price, so she placed it carefully in her bag before resuming digging.

After a little bit of rummaging through the dirt, another sphere was uncovered. Unlike her previous finds, this one was blue, and had sharp edges - it was a prism sphere. While a little disheartened that it wasn't another red sphere, Kazza placed the object in her bag nonetheless, and took the opportunity to stretch her tense shoulders and refocus. Reaching into her bag, she took out her water bottle and had a quick sip before replacing it in her bag, wiping her brow, and getting back to work, determination renewed.

Her prize was revealed quickly - another prism sphere. It seemed that they were quite common here. Shrugging, she placed the item in her pack, brushed off her dirt-covered palms on her jeans, and continued to dig. If she kept finding spheres, she'd soon have enough to trade for something more useful to her.
