Crystal wandered blankly into the Underground, Solah leading the way. The Cyndaquil had her back flames alight to help her trainer keep tabs on her position- though why the girl wanted to go to the Underground in the first place was beyond the fire mouse. Naturally, she had tried to deter her- to tell her that the dirty dark caverns really did not seem the place for a lady. She purposefully avoided adding in that a blind girl would really have a heck of a time trying to 'mine'. Not that Crystal would have minded, really. The girl accepted and even enjoyed the fact that she was blind.
"Solah, come on~ Don't worry so much," Crystal said with a laugh. She had sensed her Pokemon's worry, and shook her head. "Really, if you think about it- the Underground is perfect for me!"
Now THAT bit of logic escaped the Cyndaquil. She stopped to stare incredulously at her trainer- despite the fact that the girl would not benefit from the expression. <And... how do you figure that?> she had to ask, starting to walk again.
"Well, being blind... the dark won't make any difference at all!" she said, laughing. Solah sighed- of course. Not that the darkness was the biggest problem- she was supposed to be using tools to dig for treasure hidden in the walls! Granted, the treasure was supposedly hidden so it wouldn't matter where she excavated... But how was she to know when she found something? Oh right- that was the Cyndaquil's job. The mouse Pokemon started laughing with her trainer then, shrugging it away. It was what Crystal wanted, and if she was there then she supposed it would be safe enough.
The pair wandered into the tunnels, Crystal following Solah's heat. They moved slowly, the Pokemon making sure to carefully lead her trainer past any obstacles. She wondered what the place seemed like to Crystal- probably just about the same as anywhere else, but with a bit thinner air. After a while Solah began to realize that Crystal was waiting for her to stop somewhere to dig- so the Cyndaquil glanced around and found a nice looking stretch of wall. <Crystal, why don't you dig here?>
Crystal beamed and pulled the pickaxe from her pack. "I was wondering when you'd say that~" she said, winking at her Pokemon- but getting the position a little bit off. Solah smiled and shook her head anyway. The girl weighted the tool, getting the feel of it. Then she walked up to the wall and ran her palm along it, nodding to herself. "Yup, this feels good..." she said, then tapped at the wall with the tool. Solah wasn't sure how she knew what to do, but she was doing it.
