They are also quite fond of sunbathing. | description ¬ Redchic is one of three chicken Pokémon that is believed to have come from a distant planet long ago. There is a legend of a beaked, feathered being that came to Earth and became three separate Pokémon, the chic Pokémon. People who believe this story sometimes speculate as to the Chics reasons for coming to Earth. Paranoia has gripped some believers hearts. They believe that the three Chic Pokemon came to Earth to conquer it and are deceivers. Believers who have studied the Chickens, however, have a different idea. The Chics are warm and lovable to any human. They crave for attention but oddly enough not from their own species. In fact, while chics have been known to be in the same area as each other, they do not appear to socialize together. Due to this it is believed, that they do not conjugate together but instead conjugate to a certain habitat or area. This can be seen by the spacing of sunbathing Greenchics, the come and go policy of Redchics by a heat source, and by the indifference seen with Bluechics in a pond. The sceintist believers say that it is more likely that the before mentioned chickens came to Earth due to loneliness on their own planet. They only wished for a friend. Of course it is still unconfirmed weather they came from space at all. Some swear it to be true; others laugh at the possibility. As for Redchic, well he won't say. He'll just confirm that its very warm and friendly here on EARTH. Redchics have a tough territorial look to them, but this isn't true at all. It is true that they are the most willing to fight out of the three chics, but have only been seen doing so to protect someone else, usually a human. Redchics love heat sources and have been seen conjugating at active volcanoes and other such warm places. Their feathers are extremely warm, warm enough to act as a campfire in cold places. Their feathers are soft too and wouldn't burn you like a stove would. It has been noted that they let off the heat from a area under the feathers and the feathers actually act as a protective barrier for anything they come in contact with. Due to an event that happened several years ago, it was discovered that Redchics actually depend upon the heat their bodies store. That's why they sit by warmth for hours, they are absorbing it so they can be warm though the rest of the day. They will get what they need and leave to return the next day. The event of the missing child also led to Redchics being beloved in Runox, where they were once feared. Redchics have been known to enjoy sleeping in or around the beds of people of Runox keeping them warm thoughout the night. They are also known for sometimes following a person as if concerned for their safety. If the person is in danger Redchic will jump in and try to help them. They are very protective. They were once known as Runox's Guardian Angels. Unfortunatly, Redchicks don't live in Runox anymore or on Mt. Hormogina. Poachers hunted them easily tricking the trusting Pokémon to follow them. Now they're almost extinct. They have been known to live on a island volcano though. Here they are protected from those who would do them harm. | ability one -- ( BLAZE ) Raises the power of Fire-type moves by 50% when the Pokémon's HP drops to 1/3 or less. ability two -- ( FLASH FIRE ) When the Pokemon is hit by a Fire-type move, rather than taking damage, its Fire-type moves increase in power by 50%. ability three -- ( FRIEND GUARD ) Reduces damage done to allies by 25%. |
